We recently admired the shelving at the Cooper Square Hotel in the Bowery, only to discover that the rooms and bathrooms were designed by Modern Arc, the LA-based design firm behind Gjelina Restaurant (see Hotels, Lodgings & Restaurants: Gjelina in Los Angeles). The custom black vanity shelving with sink (shown below) is made from a highly durable epoxy material typically used in laboratory applications, and the bath mirror features a clever attached shelf.
